Explore remote Southern Patagonia on this 13 Day adventure. Discover some of South Americas finest national parks including the Los Glaciers National Park, home to some of the worlds most stunning ice formations, Torres Del Paine National Park famous for its granite pillars, lakes and mountains & Tierra Del Fuego National Park, located in one of the most Southern regions of the world. Day 1. El Chalten
Arrival to El Chalten, located in the heart of the Los Galciares National Park
Day 2. El Chalten
Trek the wonderful Laguna de los Trek hike to view Mount Fitzroy in El Chalten, Argentina's trekking capital.
Day 3. El Chalten El Calafate
Walk on top of the mighty Viedma Glacier and explore magical ice caves.
Day 4. El Calafate
Visit the Perito Moreno Glacier, one of the earths most dynamic and accessible ice fields.
Day 5. El Calafate Torres Del Paine
Head back into Chile to Torres Del Paine, South Americas finest National Park.
Day 6 - 8. Torres Del Paine
Breath-taking vistas await you on hikes to the Greys Glacier, French Valley and Las Torres.
Day 9. Torres Del Paine Punta Arenas
Visit the Seno Otway Colony, home to 3,000 breeding pairs of Magallanic Penguins.
Day 10. Punta Arenas Cerro Sombrero
Enjoy your morning exploring Punta Arenas before crossing the Straights of Magellan onto the island of Tierra Del Fuego.
Day 11. Cerro Sombrero Ushuaia
Visit a King Penguin colony on the way to Ushuaia, the most southerly city in the world.
Day 12. Ushuaia
Explore Tierra Del Fuego National Park and arrive at the end of the road: Lapatia Bay. Take a cruise on the Beagle Channel to view wildlife and learn of the regions history.
Day 13. Ushuaia Depart
Depart Ushuaia with wonderful memories, and a new respect of our wonderful planet courtesy of Patagonia.
Viva El Chalten to Ushuaia
El Chalten (Argentina) After arriving into El Calafate you will be met at the airport and transferred to El Chalten, located in the stunning Parque Nacional Los Glaciares, and nestled quietly under the imposing peaks of Mount Fitzroy, named after the captain of the Beagle, who navigated Darwin’s Expedition of the area in 1834.
El Chalten (Argentina) We will take a boat trip here across the lake to the Viedma Glacier, the largest in Argentina, where we will have the opportunity to explore ice caves and take a walk atop this mighty ice sheet.
El Calafate Enjoy a morning at leisure to explore the El Chalten region and its many walking tracks before we take a short drive around Lake Argentina to the town of El Calafate. This will be our base to visit the impressive Perito Moreno glacier, one of the earth’s most dynamic and accessible ice fields.
El Calafate Visiting the glacier we can witness from a series of walkways huge chucks of ice breaking free from the face of the glacier and crashing with a mighty roar into the water. A boat trip along the face of the glacier gives us the opportunity to admire its impressive height that reaches at points to 100 meters from the water level and stretches 5 kilometres from edge to edge.
Torres Del Paine National Park Crossing again into Chile we arrive at Torres Del Paine National Park where our support crew and vehicle await us once again. Camping on the edge of the picturesque Lake Pehoe under the constant watch of the towering granite peaks and circling condors this will be our base to explore what is to many South Americas finest national park. While in this area of unparalleled beauty, enjoy day hikes through emerald forests, to magnificent glaciers, along alpine rivers and lakes, with picturesque mountain vistas while. Each day returning to comfort of our camp and a freshly prepared meal.
Torres Del Paine National Park (Chile) Today our trekking takes us to the foot of the impressive granite massif of El Paine. From here we admire the Paine Towers from the best possible viewpoints. The famous Torres del Paine (2900m / 9400ft) consist of three granite monoliths, the remains of a great cirque that has been sheared away by the forces of glacial ice.
Torres Del Paine National Park (Chile) Enjoy a hike to view the mighty Grey’s Glacier which delivers the giant South Patagonic icefield to the lakes edge. From the view point the surrounding scenery is very impressive with numerous large icebergs drifting across the water and great views across the face of the glacier. There is also the opportunity to proceed to the foot of the glacier to get an up close impression.
Torres Del Paine National Park (Chile) Today you have the opportunity to trek through the scenic French Valley formed by impressive cliffs and glaciers. Alternatively there is the option of horse riding through the park, trout fishing, kayaking or simply relaxing in one of the most stunning natural regions on earth.
Punta Arenas (Chile) Having spent four nights inside Torres Del Paine National Park we drive south to Punta Arenas stopping on the way to visit Seno Otway penguin colony, home to approximately 6000 breeding pairs. The penguins make this spot of shoreline on the Strait of Magellan their home. They live in small burrows in the ground where they raise their young and can be seen marching back and forth from their burrows and the sea where they search for food.
Rio Grande (Argentina) Continuing across the Straights of Magellan, the once-vital passageway is named for the Portuguese adventurer, Ferdinand Magellan, the first explorer to circumnavigate the globe, we arrive on the island of Tierra Del Fuego (Land of Fire). This southern region of islands, waterways, mountains and forest is a unique and beautiful area to explore and enjoy.
Ushuaia (Argentina) Today we arrive into the most southerly city in the world, Ushuaia, our final destination. Enjoy an afternoon boat trip on the Beagle Channel which offers the chance to spot marine wildlife including Royal albatrosses, giant petrels, skuas, cormorants, South American terns, Magellanic penguins and lots of gulls and ducks as well as resident sea mammals such as sea lions, Peale's dolphins, minke whales and, if you're lucky, killer whales or southern right whales.
In the afternoon enjoy breath-taking views of the channel and surrounding mountains as you stroll through this scenic town.
Ushuaia (Argentina) Spend a day walking in the Tierra Del Fuego National Park which offers the southernmost example of the Andean - Patagonian forest before ending the tour with a meal at one of Ushuaia’s great port side seafood restaurants.
Depart Your tour concludes after breakfast this morning. Your tour leader will assist you with a transfer to the airport for your out bound flight.

If there is no one available to share you will have a single room but still pay only the twin share price. otherwise a single sup of 30% will apply.
